Our current team is small but agile and is led by Tom McHale. Tom has significant experience in the IT industry with both early startups and established businesses. He brings high value to business at the executive, operations and product development levels – because he able to work at both the strategic and tactical levels and “get stuff done”.
We are well experienced in working with and managing virtual teams from several locations, countries and time zones. The time when you can economically get all the stakeholders involved in your success in one room for more than a day or two is over. Businesses need to be able operate in a virtual environment and StoneTurner has the technologies and skills to do this effectively.
And what’s with the name StoneTurner?
We expect that most of us remember the times when they were at the beach, on a riverbank, hiking in hills, looking in old buildings, or digging in the back yard and turning over stones and rocks. Why did we do it then? And, why, maybe, don’t we do it now?
We were looking for something that had been hidden for who knows how long and it could be something exciting, rare or valuable. And we were not fearful about what we might find. That is what a stone turner does – looks for new discoveries close by that have been overlooked by others. And as we were told by a very wise man when we were turning over stones years ago, “Always put the stone back where it came from, because it is someone’s home.”
